The 2026 Golden Globe Awards nominations have been officially unveiled, with Paul Thomas Anderson’s action thriller One Battle After Another emerging as the year’s most-nominated film. Established in 1944, the Golden Globes honour excellence in film and television.
One Battle After Another leads the film category with nine nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Leading Actor. Other top nominees include Sentimental Value (eight nominations), Sinners (seven), Hamnet (six), and both Frankenstein and Wicked: For Good with five each.
On the television side, The White Lotus leads with six nominations, followed by Adolescence with five, while Only Murders in the Building and Severance earned four each. Animated films and original songs also featured prominently, with K-Pop Demon Hunters receiving nods for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for “Golden.”
A total of 27 performers are receiving their first-ever Golden Globe nominations, including Bill Maher, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jacob Elordi, Kevin Hart, Michael B. Jordan, and Paul Mescal.
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 11, 2026, hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, and will air on CBS with streaming available via Paramount+.
