American actress and TV host Whoopi Goldberg has shared her stance on relationships and dating at her age.
Speaking during a recent episode of The View, the 70-year-old said she is single and not interested in a committed relationship.
“I am single. I bar hop, I go hang,” she said. “I do hit and runs when I need it… but I am not married to anybody. I don’t have responsibilities.”
The EGOT-winning entertainer explained that after three previous marriages, she has chosen a different path. She was previously married to Alvin Martin, David Claessen, and Lyle Trachtenberg.
According to her, she is more comfortable living on her own and has no plans to share her space with a partner. “I’m much happier on my own. I can spend as much time with somebody as I want, but I’m not looking to be with somebody forever or live with someone,” she said in an earlier interview.
Over the years, she has also been linked to a few relationships, including with actors Timothy Dalton and Ted Danson.
Her recent comments have since sparked conversations online about relationships, independence, and personal choices later in life.
