Popular Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has opened up about her deeply personal journey through addiction, emotional struggles, and eventual deliverance, in a powerful testimony that has sparked conversations across social media and entertainment circles.
In her emotional revelation, the actress disclosed that she had been battling smoking addiction for most of her life, stating, “I have been a sm0ker for 27 years, started at 13.” According to Tonto Dikeh, what began as a teenage habit gradually developed into a long-term dependency that followed her well into adulthood.
Beyond smoking, the outspoken movie star also admitted to struggling with alcohol addiction, excessive drinking, and emotional instability. She revealed that these challenges were not isolated issues but part of a wider pattern of internal battles that started at a very young age.

Tonto Dikeh revealed that her turning point came during an NSPPD prayer session led by renowned clergyman Pastor Jerry Eze. She testified that it was during this intense prayer encounter that she experienced what she described as deliverance, marking the end of her long-standing addictions and emotional bondage.
Expressing gratitude, the actress credited God for her healing and freedom, emphasizing that her testimony is meant to inspire others who may be silently dealing with similar challenges. She encouraged people struggling with addiction and emotional pain not to lose hope, stressing that transformation is possible.
