Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence on the recent controversy surrounding his marriage to actress Regina Daniels, addressing the viral video that sparked online debate. Speaking to the media days after the arrest of Regina’s brother, Samuel Daniels (aka Sammy West), Nwoko described the events leading to the video as misrepresented.
According to the senator, Regina’s siblings and certain friends frequently interfered in his home, complicating her alleged recovery from a medical issue. He claimed that despite medical advice, they continued to bring substances that disrupted her treatment, resulting in repeated tension within the household.
Nwoko strongly denied allegations that he assaulted Regina or directed any attack against her, insisting that such reports were fabricated to tarnish his reputation. He also said that Regina’s family members and friends often entered his residence uninvited, confronting staff in his absence.
“I took so much nonsense for the sake of the kids. Everything that happened that day was in my house, in my absence. Nobody was beaten. The video was filmed entirely in front of my house by Regina’s sister and her friend. It was a pure Nollywood scene,” Nwoko said, emphasising his focus on protecting his children amidst the family drama.
