Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, former ACF spokesperson and ex-adviser to President Tinubu, has called on the U.S. to block corrupt Nigerian politicians and their families from exploiting American systems. In an interview with Arise TV, he stressed that Washington should act against Nigerians implicated in corruption, insecurity, and electoral fraud.
“If the Americans have evidence that some Nigerians are worsening insecurity or stealing our wealth, they should stop them. Don’t give visas. Don’t let them send their children to study with stolen money,” he said.
Baba-Ahmed added that while external pressure can help, true reform depends on Nigerians themselves. He noted that mismanagement, weak institutions, and poor leadership are the nation’s biggest challenges. “We must take ownership of our destiny,” he urged, advocating honest governance, strong accountability, and civic responsibility to end Nigeria’s persistent crises.
