During the APC campaign rally in Edo State, former governor and current senator, Adams Oshiomhole, proved once again that he knows how to entertain a crowd — this time by making himself the punchline.
In a video from the event, shared by TVC, Oshiomhole lightheartedly described himself as a “short man who delivers short speeches,” drawing loud laughter from supporters.
From Political Power to Playful Banter
Oshiomhole told the cheering audience that during his tenure as governor, anyone who dared call him a short man would have “finished their own.” But now, he says, times have changed — and people can joke about his height without fear of consequences.
“You know I don’t like to make long speeches — so short man, short speech. And when I say short man, don’t look at Governor Monday Okpebholo, look at me. Before, when I was governor, if you said short man, your own was finished. But now you can say it and there’s nothing I can do,” he teased.
Why This Moment Is Going Viral
Political rallies are usually tense, but Oshiomhole’s self-deprecating humor has been shared widely online. It shows a lighter, more approachable side to a man once known for his fiery political battles.
