The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFC), Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo, has once again made his position on Nigerian politics crystal clear, declaring that no amount of money can lure him into partisan political engagement.
The outspoken cleric made the statement while addressing worshippers during the impartation service at Shiloh 2025, the church’s annual convocation held at Canaanland. According to Bishop Oyedepo, politics does not align with his divine mandate, insisting that his assignment lies strictly within the boundaries of his spiritual calling.
Emphasizing his conviction, the renowned preacher stated, “If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s off my course.” He further described partisan politics as “off my calling,” noting that deviation from one’s God-given purpose only leads to frustration and failure.
Speaking to thousands of congregants, the Living Faith Church founder urged believers to remain committed to their individual divine assignments. He stressed that true dominion comes when people function within the area God has called them to, adding that this is where they are empowered to “rule their world” and make lasting impact.
Bishop Oyedepo also referenced Nigeria’s ongoing national challenges, reminding members of a prophecy he shared years ago. Recalling events ahead of the 2015 general elections, he said, “In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?” His statement drew loud reactions from the congregation, many of whom see the current economic and security crises as a fulfillment of that warning.
Addressing the broader global situation, Oyedepo described the world as being in a season of deep uncertainty. He declared that “the world is currently groaning in darkness,” but emphasized that hope lies in the emergence of spiritually enlightened believers.
According to him, God is raising an end-time army equipped with wisdom and divine insight to provide solutions to national and global problems. He cited biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel as examples of individuals who transformed nations by operating in alignment with God’s purpose rather than political ambition.
In his concluding remarks, the Shiloh 2025 convocation speaker reaffirmed that the manifestation of the children of God is imminent, insisting that genuine change will come through divine alignment, not political power.
