Nigerian content creator and popular social media influencer Ashmusy has once again found herself at the center of online controversy after being accused of falsely claiming ownership of a luxury property in Lekki.

The drama began when Ashmusy excitedly announced on social media that a four-duplex building project in Lekki had been completed, subtly suggesting that the multimillion-naira development was the result of her hard work and business ventures.

However, her celebration was short-lived as a well-known real estate page on Instagram, @superblachomes, publicly countered her claims. In a post that immediately went viral, the real estate firm stated that the property Ashmusy showcased does not belong to her and is currently still available for purchase. Their statement read: “Ignore the lies. This property was never acquired by your fave and is still very much available for sale.”

The post sparked intense reactions across social media, with many Nigerians debating whether Ashmusy tried to mislead her followers or whether her words had simply been misunderstood. As of now, the influencer has not responded to the allegations, leaving room for speculation and widespread online discussions.

Some users attempted to defend her, insisting that her initial post may have been misinterpreted.

REACTIONS :

One Instagram user, Time Stella, explained: “I don’t think she meant that she owns it. There’s a part where she mentioned ‘my business partner.’ Maybe she was managing the project. That’s just my take.”

Another user, Chiamaka Edeh, commented: “Abeg make una no vex. Maybe I don’t understand that post but I didn’t see where she said she owns the building.”

Meanwhile, others cautioned against the pressures of social media. A user identified as Princess humorously noted: “Social media will oppress you, but no panic 🤣🤣. Reason I don’t envy anything online.”

The situation has reignited conversations about online image-building, influencer lifestyle pressure, and the widespread trend of sharing luxury achievements for validation.

Fans now await Ashmusy’s official response to the property ownership controversy.
