The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the extradition of Victor Benjamin Fejemirokun, the man suspected in the abduction and killing of an FRSC officer and her young daughter in Osun State. He was handed over to Nigerian authorities after being arrested by the Ghana Police Service, following intelligence that he had fled across the border.
According to a statement issued by Force Public Relations Officer CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Abuja travelled to Accra to finalize the handover after Ghanaian authorities located and detained the suspect. TVC News reports that the operation was completed on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Police say Fejemirokun left Nigeria shortly after the disappearance of SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun of the FRSC Abeokuta Unit and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, earlier this month. The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, extended condolences to the family and assured that investigators are committed to ensuring accountability through a transparent legal process.
He also expressed appreciation to the Ghana Police Service for their cooperation and professionalism throughout the operation. The Force urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and continue providing useful information to support ongoing security efforts nationwide.
