According to NewsVista, Manchester United’s new boy wonder, Diego Leon, has wasted no time making his intentions clear ahead of his £3.4 million move from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteño.
The 18-year-old left wing-back, already tipped as one of South America’s brightest young prospects, arrived in Manchester today to finalize his five-year deal, which runs until June 2030. But while the club had reportedly considered a loan or gradual integration, Leon has other plans.
“I’m going to kill it in pre-season, and in one or two games I’ll be playing with them,” the confident teen told reporters—sending a clear message to new United manager Ruben Amorim.
Leon’s bold declaration has already turned heads. With Amorim known for developing young talent, the door could be wide open for the fiery full-back to make an early impact at Old Trafford.
