Pastor Joshua Iginla has called on leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to take a clear stand on the rising attacks against Christians. He insisted that Christian leadership requires courage, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to defending the faith.
During a recent sermon, Iginla told his congregation that spiritual leaders must put their responsibility to the body of Christ above political considerations. He urged PFN and CAN leaders to openly declare where they stand on issues affecting Christians nationwide. According to him, leadership is not a ceremonial position but a calling that demands conviction.
Iginla emphasized that religious organizations must remain focused on their spiritual mandate rather than becoming politically cautious. He warned that speaking with “two sides of the mouth” weakens the moral authority expected of Christian leaders. “Let people who truly defend Nigeria come out and speak,” he said, stressing the need for clarity in a time of widespread insecurity.
He further stated that silence from leaders amounts to failure, insisting that anyone unwilling to speak out should resign. His message, he noted, stems from a deep personal conviction and boldness rooted in faith. “My name is Joshua Iginla. I fear nobody but God,” he declared.
