Inter Milan Accelerate Move for Ademola Lookman, Set to Table €50m Package

Inter Milan are stepping up efforts to secure the signing of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, with negotiations expected to intensify in the next 10 days, according to reports from Italy.

The Nerazzurri have made the 26-year-old attacker a top priority this summer, aiming to avoid a prolonged transfer saga similar to last year’s failed pursuit of Teun Koopmeiners, who ultimately joined Juventus.

Lookman is reportedly open to the move, but Atalanta are holding firm on their €50 million valuation. Inter are prepared to offer €45 million upfront, plus an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses, in a bid to meet that asking price.

Sources close to the deal reveal that Lookman had previously been promised a move if a €40 million bid was made. However, Atalanta appear to have shifted their stance following the Nigerian’s stellar performances last season.

With new head coach Cristian Chivu eager to have his full squad assembled before pre-season preparations hit full swing, Inter are keen to finalize the deal swiftly.

Lookman played a pivotal role in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League triumph last season, notably scoring a hat-trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen, and has emerged as one of the most sought-after wingers in Europe.
