According to our report, Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has cautioned Christians against living without spiritual understanding, warning that it can rob them of the blessings and inheritance meant for them in Christ.
Speaking during a recent sermon streamed on YouTube, Bishop Oyedepo explained that understanding is the foundation of every fruitful Christian life. He referenced Proverbs 21:16, noting that anyone who strays from the path of understanding ends up in the “congregation of the dead,” living far below divine potential.
From our findings, Oyedepo emphasized that results in the kingdom are determined by one’s level of understanding. Citing Matthew 13:23, he explained that while many hear the Word, only those who truly understand it experience lasting transformation and fruitfulness.
He urged believers to constantly pray for divine insight rather than merely reading or quoting scriptures. According to him, spiritual understanding unlocks access to every blessing of redemption.
Concluding his message, the bishop prayed that believers would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will and spiritual wisdom, as written in Colossians 1:9 — so they can fully enjoy their inheritance in Christ.
