Primate Elijah Ayodele has reiterated that Nnamdi Kanu’s legal matter will be revisited this year, but the resolution will come through negotiation rather than legal battles or protests. Speaking in a video on November 23, 2025, Ayodele emphasized that key discussions are already underway behind the scenes.
The cleric explained that influential figures are exploring dialogue as the most effective solution to the long-standing issue surrounding the IPOB leader. “I said his matter will be reopened this year, but it’s going to be through negotiation,” he stated, stressing that the outcome will not depend solely on court rulings.
Ayodele added that while the legal framework may appear rigid, political and diplomatic conversations are expected to play a decisive role in shaping the eventual settlement.
