Fresh details have emerged about recent changes in Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team, as legal expert Justice Ojienoh revealed that top lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mike Ozekhome, was once part of the defense team but was later relieved of his duties.
According to our reporter, Ojienoh made this revelation during an interview on TVC News, where he discussed the calibre of lawyers that have handled the high-profile case over time.
“I have seen the A-team all the while. I have seen Mike Ozekhome, SAN, also being part of his team and at some point, he was relieved of his representation,” Ojienoh stated, hinting that the shake-up might be connected to deeper issues within the defense camp.
He noted that the case continues to attract massive public interest due to the legal weight and personalities involved, suggesting that frequent changes in representation may point to internal strategy shifts or disagreements.
Ojienoh, however, expressed confidence in the Nigerian judiciary, emphasizing that true justice will depend not on big names but on the strength of evidence and the integrity of the process.
