Uthman Anidugbe, popularly known as Uthy Grind and the brother of Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel, has officially ventured into the hospitality scene with the soft launch of UNDA Lounge in Lekki, Lagos. The private unveiling, which took place recently, was attended by close friends, family, and select guests, giving them a first glimpse of the lounge’s Caribbean-inspired concept and sophisticated waterfront ambience.
Speaking about the project, Anidugbe explained that UNDA Lounge is the realization of a long-held dream, blending his background in entertainment with his passion for hospitality. “This is a passion project for me. I have always wanted to go into hospitality because I’m already deeply involved in entertainment, and I feel hospitality and entertainment go hand in hand,” he said.
UNDA Lounge, according to Anidugbe, is designed to offer Lagosians a nightlife experience unlike any other. “I wanted to build something that has never been seen before. It’s a Caribbean-inspired playground. The location is stunning, right by the water, and it is incredibly beautiful,” he added. The lounge aims to combine aesthetic elegance with a relaxed, vibrant atmosphere, drawing inspiration from the colours, music, and energy typical of Caribbean destinations.
Beyond its visual appeal, affordability and accessibility form a core part of UNDA Lounge’s philosophy. Anidugbe revealed that the venue will cater to diverse audiences, ensuring a high-quality experience without excluding visitors due to high costs. The lounge plans to host a variety of creative and entertainment-driven activities, including live music sessions, exclusive listening parties, celebrity performances, and art exhibitions. By merging music, culture, and social gatherings, UNDA Lounge aims to become a key hub for both entertainment enthusiasts and creatives in Lagos.
