Pastor Rotimi of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Isegun, Eruku, Kwara State, has shared his account of a recent violent attack that left several worshippers abducted, including his wife.
In a video released by News Central TV, Pastor Rotimi explained that the incident occurred during an evening service. He initially mistook the loud gunfire for a transformer explosion and only realised the severity of the situation when four armed men entered the church and began shooting.
Describing his immediate reaction, the pastor said he focused on protecting the congregants, quickly leading them into a room and locking the door. Despite his efforts, the gunmen forced their way in and kidnapped several worshippers.
“I didn’t know they are kidnappers. I just saw four of them enter the church, they were shooting guns so I did not even know where to run to. I just tried to protect my members first so I locked the door when I saw them,” Pastor Rotimi recounted.
