Nollywood actor and comedian Broda Shaggi has shared a touching story about his childhood, shedding light on the personal struggles that shaped his journey to fame. In a recent episode of the WithChude podcast, he opened up about life after his parents went their separate ways and how growing up in a polygamous family deeply affected him.
According to the entertainer, his father was married to three women, and at one point, his mother no longer lived with them. “A few things were already tough because my dad was married to three women. So at a point, my mom wasn’t living with him. I was only living with him,” he said.
Shaggi went on to describe the hardship he endured while living with his stepmother. “I know wetin my eye see for my step-mom,” he recalled, noting that financial and emotional support became scarce during that period. He said there were times he had to fend for himself even as a young student. “They stopped giving me money when going to classes. It was tough,” he added.
