My Husband Told Me It Was Over Between us Immediately After Paying My Dowry – Woman

Margaret, an apostle and founder of several churches in Kenya, has shared how she was abandoned by her husband on the very day her dowry was paid — an experience that tested her faith and resilience.

Margaret explained that she met her husband in 2008, and after a few months of dating, they began living together as husband and wife. Four years later, they arranged for her dowry ceremony, which initially went smoothly. However, after the formalities, her husband and in-laws went to a separate house to hand over the dowry money. When he returned, he shocked her by declaring that their marriage was over.

At first, Margaret thought it was a joke, but the reality quickly became clear. Her husband moved into another room and refused to explain his actions. Within a month, Margaret began experiencing severe health issues that left her unable to work. Her husband eventually left for good.

With support from her family, Margaret underwent traditional ceremonies and rituals, including the purchase and slaughter of goats, which were believed to cleanse and restore her wellbeing. She gradually recovered from the ordeal and, years later, remarried in a church ceremony, finding peace and happiness once again.

Margaret’s story is a testament to resilience, faith, and the strength required to overcome betrayal.
