Former Kogi State governorship candidate Olayinka Braimoh has officially switched from the Action Alliance (AA) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. According to our reporter, Braimoh cited the move as a desire to align with a party that reflects his ideals of inclusive governance and youth empowerment.
The defection was formalized during a ceremony in Lokoja, where he was welcomed by ADC state leadership. “I have chosen to join the ADC because it stands for the progress, unity, and development of the Nigerian people, especially the youths who are the backbone of our nation,” Braimoh said.
According to our reporter, ADC officials hailed his decision as a strategic boost, noting that his political experience and grassroots influence would strengthen the party’s presence in Kogi State ahead of the 2027 elections.
