Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ Nations, has alleged that his children are being denied employment and government opportunities due to his outspoken stance against attacks on Christians in Plateau State.
In an interview with News Central TV, Rev. Dachomo said that employers and officials reportedly reject his children’s applications solely because of their family connection. “Once they see the name of my children looking for employment, they refuse. Even if they write the exam very well, once they see it’s Ezekiel, they will just cancel it,” he explained.
The cleric also described how this alleged discrimination extends to everyday administrative processes. He noted that even when his daughters’ names had changed through marriage, officials would still associate them with him, limiting their access to opportunities. “They will say this is a man giving us trouble in Nigeria, and they should never give room for his children. That’s what my children are suffering today,” he added.
Despite these challenges, Reverend Dachomo said he has encouraged his children to view such persecution as a spiritual test. He urged them to remain steadfast in their faith, emphasizing that enduring trials is part of the Christian journey.
