One person has been confirmed dead, and three others have suffered various injuries in a car accident on the Juaboso–Bonsu Nkwanta Road located in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
The accident, which took place on Saturday evening, involved a collision between two vehicles that reportedly crashed head-on after one of them strayed from its designated lane.
Eyewitness accounts indicated that the collision was intense, resulting in some passengers being trapped within the wreckage.
The injured individuals were assisted by bystanders and swiftly transported to the Juaboso Government Hospital for necessary medical care, while the deceased was declared dead upon arrival.
Authorities from the Juaboso District Command arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
