Rev. Enoch Kaura, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has expressed deep concern over the increasing number of violent attacks on Christian communities in the region. Speaking to journalists, Rev. Kaura described the situation as heartbreaking, saying churches, pastors, and ordinary residents have all suffered devastating losses.
According to him, more than a thousand people have been affected through killings, kidnappings, and assaults on places of worship. He disclosed that at least three pastors’ wives were brutally murdered during the attacks, while many other victims remain missing.
Rev. Kaura recounted some of the most tragic incidents, including the massacre in Doon Noma, where 86 people were killed in a single raid, followed by another attack that claimed 36 additional lives. He also mentioned more recent assaults on churches in Ugakala and Maro Ward, which resulted in the death of one worshipper and several injuries.
He appealed to security agencies and government authorities to intervene urgently, emphasizing that the continuous violence has left many families traumatized and displaced from their homes. More photos and full updates from community eyewitnesses are available on Newshost Buzz.
