Former Hamas insider Mosab Hassan Yousef has sparked controversy, claiming that Palestinian statehood is a historical myth and accusing pro-Palestine movements of glorifying terrorism for political and financial gain.
In a post on his verified X account, Yousef argued that Palestinian leaders have “orchestrated the perfect trap,” exploiting global sympathy to fund violent campaigns while civilians pay the price. He insisted that terms like “occupation” and “liberation” are cover narratives masking a deeper pursuit of power and money.
Yousef, son of a Hamas co-founder and former Israeli intelligence informant, described the Palestinian identity as “the biggest scam of the past century” and warned that those denying historical realities are complicit in ongoing violence.
He concluded bluntly: “Palestine never existed as a sovereign state and has not been occupied in the way many activists claim. Misled sympathizers are fueling bloodshed.”
