PDP Crisis: It’s A Shame PDP Is Going Through This Trouble, They Seem To Be In Pitiful Stage- Anthony Kila

According to our report, Professor Anthony Kila, Director of the Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS), has expressed disappointment over the deepening crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), calling the situation “a shame” and a clear sign of failing leadership and unity.

Speaking on Arise News, Kila lamented that a party once known for its national influence now looks fragmented and pitiful, losing its strength as Nigeria’s main opposition. He noted that endless court battles and leadership disputes have not only weakened the PDP’s structure but also damaged its public image.

From our findings, Kila believes the party’s overreliance on legal battles instead of internal dialogue shows a breakdown of discipline and teamwork. He warned that this ongoing power struggle may cripple the PDP’s chances of effectively challenging the ruling APC in future elections.

He urged the party’s leaders to rebuild from the ground up — embracing unity, dialogue, and due process — if they truly wish to regain Nigerians’ trust.

At the moment, Kila says, “the PDP is struggling to even govern itself.”
