The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested four siblings for the m8rder of a private guard.
The incident occurred on Sunday, March 15, 2026, when hunters reported an attack at the farm of one Idris Waziri Kwamawa in Jama’are.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Nafiu Habib, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, March 18, said the Divisional Police Officer led a patrol team to the scene where one of the guards, identified as Bello Bura, was found d3ad.
According to the PPRO, police initially arrested six suspects but the four siblings are now held for culpable homicide.
“On Sunday 15th March, 2026 at about 0355hrs, hunters’ personnel reported at Jama’are Divisional Police Headquarters that there was an attack on three private guards at Idris Waziri Kwamawa’s farm, Jama’are,” the statement read.
“The DPO led a patrol team to the scene and found Bello Bura (40 yrs) male d3ad and two guards (Sani Hussaini 32yrs and Gidado Mohammed 32yrs), both of Jadauvi village, Gamawa LGA injured.
“Victims were taken to General Hospital, where the doctor confirmed Bello’s d3ath. The family has collected the body for Islamic burial.
“Six suspects were initially detained; four siblings are now held for culpable homicide:
Chidawa Ahmadu (25), Adamu Ahmadu (20), Usman Ahmadu (15) and Yusuf Ahmadu (22) all of Bediri Village via Jumbori, Jama’are LGA.
“The following items were also recovered from them: three cutlasses, two sticks, and a torchlight.
“Investigation continues while CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+) urges residents to remain vigilant and report security concerns to the nearest police station or via the Command’s Control Room at 08151849417.”
