President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Super Eagles following their impressive 4–1 triumph over Gabon in the FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff, reported Punch Nigeria on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised the national team for embodying “the Nigerian character that rises, adapts, and prevails.” He noted that the victory reflects the country’s strength, unity, and enduring love for football as a symbol of national pride.
