President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting every Nigerian, stressing that no citizen should live under the constant threat of violence. The statement comes amid growing national concern over recent kidnappings and armed attacks across the country.
According to Punch on Sunday, November 23, 2025, Tinubu postponed his planned trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally monitor security operations aimed at restoring law and order. The government reported that security forces successfully rescued 38 worshippers abducted from a church in Eruku, Kwara State, as well as 51 students kidnapped from a Catholic school in Niger State.
“Thanks to the efforts of our security forces over the last few days, all the 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued. I am equally happy that 51 out of the missing students of the Catholic School in Niger State have been recovered,” President Tinubu said.
The President also emphasized that he remains in close communication with security agencies, receiving continuous updates from officials coordinating operations on the ground. His administration reiterated its determination to prevent further attacks and to safeguard citizens across Nigeria.
