According to our report, human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has urged Nigerians not to welcome U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat of military intervention, cautioning that foreign involvement could worsen instability rather than protect Christians.
Sowore pointed to past failures in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria, emphasizing that international military action rarely brings lasting peace. “Our deliverance must come from within, through real leadership—not external forces,” he stated, highlighting the need for accountable governance to address corruption and violence.
While some celebrated Trump’s threats against Islamic terrorists, Sowore warned that such rhetoric serves foreign interests, not Nigeria’s. He echoed calls for internal solutions, stressing that national renewal must be driven by Nigerians themselves.
