According to our reporter, Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has been placed on a special fitness program at Werder Bremen after concerns about his weight affected his performance this season.
The 24-year-old forward, currently on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, has struggled to find his rhythm, prompting the club to assign him extra workout sessions under athletic trainer Günther Stoxreiter.
According to OwnGoalNigeria, Boniface now completes eight 90-meter sprints after the team’s regular training to improve his stamina and shed excess weight.
Club officials reportedly remain confident that the Super Eagles star will bounce back to top form with consistent effort and discipline. Werder Bremen believes the new regimen will help him regain the sharpness that once earned him Germany’s Best Young Player award.
