Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has reacted to the ongoing tension between Nollywood stars Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, advising fans to avoid taking sides.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Bobrisky cautioned the public against forming quick judgments, stressing that outsiders are often unaware of the full story behind celebrity disagreements.

“I know many of you are fans, and everyone has their favourites. But when you see one of your favourites having issues with another, don’t rush to support one side. Stay neutral—you don’t know what really happened behind the scenes,” he said.

He went further to reflect on his personal stance regarding relationships within the entertainment industry, describing it as largely insincere.

“That industry? I don’t have friends there. I may have a few sisters, like Mercy Aigbe and Omoborty, but you will never see me going to their parties or events like that, because the industry is too fake,” he added.

The controversy began after a viral clip surfaced from a movie premiere hosted by Iyabo Ojo, where Funke Akindele appeared to ignore Toyin Abraham’s greeting. In the video, Akindele was seated alongside Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe when Abraham approached to greet them. However, Akindele’s reaction—or lack of it—left many viewers stunned, as Abraham walked away visibly uncomfortable.

The incident quickly sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and commentators weighing in on the perceived snub.

Reacting to the situation, Toyin Abraham later expressed her displeasure, declaring that she would no longer greet Akindele. She also revealed that she had unfollowed her colleague on social media, making her stance clear.

Amid the growing buzz, Abraham’s husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, subtly showed his support. He praised his wife for exercising restraint, hinting that she had chosen to remain silent out of respect for him despite wanting to speak out.

Other industry figures have also shared their perspectives on the unfolding drama. Actress Nkechi Blessing weighed in by urging people to avoid unnecessary tension, noting that life is too short for prolonged drama.

Media personality Do2dtun also offered advice, encouraging individuals to be mindful of their relationships. According to him, people should clearly identify their friends, colleagues, and acquaintances, especially in an industry he described as filled with “fake love.”

Meanwhile, actor Tobi Makinde, who is known to be associated with Funke Akindele, posted a brief but cryptic reaction online, simply writing “Tor,” a comment many believe was directed at the situation.

Interestingly, the renewed tension between the two actresses has surprised many fans, especially given their seemingly cordial interaction late last year at Toke Makinwa’s daughter’s dedication. At the event, Toyin Abraham was seen respectfully greeting Funke Akindele, who warmly acknowledged her.

For years, both actresses have been regarded as two of Nollywood’s biggest stars, often dominating the industry with their successful projects. Although they had previously put aside their differences, the latest incident suggests that unresolved issues may still linger beneath the surface.

As reactions continue to pour in, Bobrisky’s call for neutrality highlights a growing sentiment among observers—that without full knowledge of the situation, taking sides may only deepen the divide.
