According to our reporter, former NHIS Executive Secretary, Prof. Usman Yusuf, has debunked claims that Christians are being persecuted in Nigeria — describing such reports from the United States as completely false.
Speaking during an interview with Trust TV, Prof. Yusuf said Americans often call him to ask about alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria, but he always tells them the truth: “There are more churches per square meter in any Nigerian city than in any city in the United States,” he said. “They are loud, boisterous, and nobody disturbs them.”
According to our reporter, Prof. Yusuf further explained that in reality, more Muslims have lost their lives to insecurity in the northern part of Nigeria than Christians, urging people to stop spreading misleading narratives about religion in the country.
