Trump’s threat: Killings, kidnappings must be brought to end – Shehu Sani

According to our report from Daily Post Nigeria on November 2, 2025, former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to act decisively against the growing wave of killings and kidnappings across Nigeria.

Sani’s call followed U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent threat of possible military intervention in Nigeria over alleged attacks on Christians. The outspoken senator, however, condemned any form of foreign interference, insisting that no external force should dictate Nigeria’s affairs.

He stressed that while insecurity remains a serious challenge, it must be confronted by Nigerians themselves — not through foreign armies or political intimidation. “Nigeria is not and will never be a disgraced nation,” Sani declared, urging citizens to remain proud, united, and resilient.

According to our findings, Sani also appealed to the Tinubu administration to strengthen local security systems, empower regional forces, and prioritize the protection of lives and property. He maintained that restoring peace and public trust must now become a national emergency.
