Nollywood actress Uche Montana has come forward to clear the air regarding allegations linking her to her colleague Regina Daniels as a drug supplier.

The accusations were made public following comments from Senator Ned Nwoko, who claimed that Regina’s siblings and associates, including Sonia and Uche Montana, allegedly defied his instructions to help rehabilitate the actress.

According to Nwoko, these individuals would visit uninvited, sometimes forcing their way into the house, and allegedly brought the same drugs for which Regina was reportedly undergoing treatment.

In a statement shared on her Instagram page, Uche Montana stressed that she had no involvement in the situation and felt it was necessary to set the record straight.

She wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described.

This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.” Montana’s post highlights her desire to maintain her professional reputation while distancing herself from the controversy that has captured public attention.

This development comes amid wider issues surrounding Regina Daniels’ marriage to Ned Nwoko. Two weeks ago, Regina had revealed that she was facing domestic challenges in her marital home.

In a viral video, the actress was seen in tears, stating that she does not feel like a queen in her husband’s house.

Responding to the claims, Nwoko alleged that Regina was struggling with drugs and alcohol abuse and accused her of violent behavior at home, including assaulting domestic staff and destroying property.

In her own response, Regina Daniels painted a different picture, claiming that Nwoko introduced her to drugs and forced her compliance during their marriage.

She further alleged that he would lock her up, seize her phones, and label her mentally unstable whenever she refused to comply with his demands. Regina also questioned the narrative that she was responsible for her drug use, stating that it was influenced by Nwoko’s actions and preferences, and not by her own choices, particularly given that she married him at just 17 years old.

Uche Montana’s statement comes as an effort to clarify her non-involvement and protect her peace amid swirling social media speculation.

By directly addressing the allegations, Montana not only safeguards her personal and professional integrity but also attempts to prevent further misinformation from damaging her reputation.

Her proactive approach underscores the challenges public figures face when false claims circulate online, highlighting the importance of transparency and timely communication.

As the controversy continues to unfold, the public remains attentive to further statements from all parties involved. Uche Montana’s clarification is a reminder of the significance of separating fact from speculation, especially in situations involving high-profile personalities and sensitive personal matters.
