Danish aid worker, Anja Ringgren Loven has marked two years since she and her team rescued a malnourished toddler who was abandoned and left to d!e in Akwa State after being branded a witch.
The child, now named Hope, was rescued in March 2024, after she was found in a near d3ath situation.
Taking to Facebook on Thursday, March 19, 2026, she shared a video of Hope, describing the last two years with the little girl as one filled with joy and light.
“It’s been 2 years now since we rescued Hope. 2 years of living in Hope’s world. 2 years of your love and support. Thank you Hope for spreading so much joy and light wherever you go. Your smile is healing. We gave you life but you gave us more,” she wrote.
