We have discovered 30 forged original certificates reportedly sold out to prospective buyers – Professor Salisu Ogbo

According to our report, Kogi State Polytechnic has launched a major investigation into a sophisticated certificate forgery network involving nine suspects, including staff and students.

The Rector, Professor Salisu Ogbo, revealed that five staff members have been suspended and four students arrested as part of the probe. “We have discovered 30 forged original certificates reportedly sold to prospective buyers,” he stated, describing a scheme that produced counterfeit National Diploma results used to gain fraudulent entry into Higher National Diploma programs.

The fraud was uncovered through coordinated efforts by the Admission, ICT, and Security Units, exposing how some result processors colluded with the syndicate to falsely certify unqualified candidates. Professor Ogbo emphasized that such actions undermine the integrity of the institution and the value of genuine qualifications.
