A burial ceremony in a rural community turned tragic after suspected Fulani attackers reportedly stormed the gathering, leaving mourners in shock. Rev. Ezekiel, who witnessed the incident, spoke with New Central TV about the terrifying events.
According to the clergyman, attendees were peacefully paying their respects when the assailants suddenly arrived, causing panic and chaos. The violence resulted in several injuries, with one of the most devastating accounts involving a pregnant woman who was reportedly struck during the attack.
Rev. Ezekiel described the scene as deeply traumatic, stressing that the level of brutality was unimaginable. He called on security agencies to act urgently to safeguard vulnerable communities and prevent further violence.
He further appealed for swift government intervention to ensure that those responsible are apprehended, noting that recurring attacks continue to create fear and disrupt the lives of rural residents.
