Apostle Johnson Suleman has urged Christians to confront and break the “spirit of delay,” warning that it is one of the biggest obstacles standing between believers and the blessings God has prepared for them. He used the biblical story of Jacob and Esau to illustrate how timing can shape spiritual outcomes.
During a recent ministration, Suleman explained that many people experience setbacks not because God has withheld blessings, but because unseen forces slow down their spiritual advancement. He noted that delay often disrupts divine timing, encouraging believers to actively resist anything that postpones their breakthrough.
Drawing from the moment Jacob received Isaac’s blessing, the apostle highlighted how a single minute made the difference between Jacob’s elevation and Esau’s missed opportunity. He explained that Esau’s slight delay changed the entire narrative, underscoring how timing influences destiny.
Suleman stressed that believers must pray with intention, asking God to remove every form of delay—whether spiritual, emotional, or circumstantial. He said such delays, if not addressed, can alter outcomes, limit progress, and deny individuals the favour meant for them.
