The International Conference Centre in Abuja has now been renamed the President Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre.
The renaming took place during the facility’s reopening ceremony, where the President presided over the unveiling.
The event was attended by key officials including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau. The renovation of the facility reportedly cost N39 billion.
Additional projects in the FCT are set to be inaugurated by Tinubu in time for the Democracy Day celebrations on June 12, 2025. Minister Nyesom Wike was spotted dancing at the ceremony, showcasing the excitement surrounding the reopening.
The facility had been closed for renovations in April 2024.
