Always on the wrong side of history. Always - Comedian Justin slams former Presidential aide Bashir Ahmad for criticizing Super Eagles players over boycott

Comedian Justin has taken a swipe at former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, following his criticism of the Super Eagles players who reportedly boycotted training ahead of their crucial World Cup playoff clash against Gabon.

Ahmad had expressed disapproval of the players’ decision, describing it as “difficult to support” since their action was reportedly linked to a demand for $15,000 each as a special bonus for the two possible playoff matches.

He wrote:

“I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I strongly stand by it and I feel the need also to voice it out. I find it difficult to side with the Super Eagles players for refusing to train today ahead of their crucial World Cup playoff match against Gabon on Thursday… especially since their action is not because the authorities failed to settle their outstanding bonuses, but reportedly because they are demanding $15,000 each as a special bonus for any of the two possible playoff matches.”

Ahmad further argued that the players should focus on national pride rather than financial demands, saying that qualifying for the World Cup would bring far greater rewards.

“Wearing the green and white jersey should be an honor that goes beyond money,” he added.
