Bandits Gun Down Elderly Woman Too Weak To Keep Up With Their Pace

According to our report, bandits in Kogi State have claimed the life of an elderly woman after she was unable to keep pace during an abduction. Mrs. Elizabeth Olorunshola of Ilafin-Isanlu, Yagba East LGA, was kidnapped along the Ilafin-Isanlu road and forced into the forest. When she lagged behind, the attackers reportedly shot her.

Her body was discovered the following day alongside a male abductee who survived with gunshot wounds. The President of the Ilafin Development Association, Mr. Idowu Awe, described the incident as a devastating loss to the community and confirmed ongoing discussions to strengthen local security.

Hon. Joshua Dare Monday, Executive Chairman of Yagba East LGA, condemned the attack, emphasizing that the tragic event left the community shaken and highlighted the urgent need for protective measures against such violent crimes.
