The Nigerian international arrived in Rome on Friday ahead of his medical to enable him complete his transfer to Lazio.

The 23-year-old was pictured at the airport as he arrived in Italy before undergoing the tests on Saturday.

A product of the Manchester City academy who also played for Sheffield Wednesday, Dele-Bashiru moved to Turkish club, Hatayspor as a free agent in the summer of 2023.

He scored nine goals and provided six assists in 39 competitive games for Hatayspor during the 2023/24 season.

The creative midfielder also has one goal in two senior caps for the Super Eagles, equalising in a 1-1 draw with South Africa in last month’s World Cup qualifier in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

He played a key role as Hatayspor escaped relegation from the Turkish Super Lig to the second division last season.

The 23-year-old was on target for Hatayspor who defeated Rizespor 2-0 on the final day in the Turkish Super Lig to escape relegation.

Hatayspor ended the season in 15th place on 41 points, just one point above relegation on the log.
