Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a stern warning to Islamic cleric and former Army officer Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, saying international eyes — particularly from the U.S. — are closely monitoring him.
In a recent video shared on Facebook, Ayodele revealed that Gumi must exercise extreme caution in his public statements and actions. “Whatever he says or does now will be noted. He must be guided by wisdom because his actions will attract international attention,” he said.

Ayodele stressed that Gumi’s influence on national security and political issues makes him a figure of interest globally, and that foreign elements could exploit his statements to stir tension. He urged the cleric to remain neutral, prayerful, and calm, warning that this period requires discretion and careful navigation of both religious and political matters.
