Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about her relationship with her estranged husband, businessman Ned Nwoko, describing his love for her as “toxic” due to the attention he lavished on her at the expense of his other wives.
The actress shared her thoughts in response to an Instagram comment suggesting that Nwoko’s affection for her was excessive. Regina agreed, explaining that during their seven-year marriage, Nwoko never spent a night away from her.
She revealed that his focus on her made him neglect the expectations of a polygamous marriage. Regina said she even had to urge him to spend time with his other wives when they began to complain about feeling ignored.
In her response on social media, she wrote, “Yes, I think he loved me, but a toxic one! Because tell me why a polygamous man forgot what it meant to be in polygamy… I practically had to beg that he shares days at ours and other days with his other wives because they begged for his attention.” She added that the relationship highlighted her ability to maintain influence within the household, joking that her skills as a Delta woman kept Nwoko devoted to her.
