If Kanu Had Been Offered The Due Process Of Extradition In Kenya,He Might Not Be Here Today–Ejimakor

According to our report, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, has raised concerns over the legality of Kanu’s return to Nigeria from Kenya, claiming proper extradition procedures were not followed.

In an interview with Symfoni TV, Ejimakor stated, “If Kanu had been offered the due process of extradition in Kenya, he might not be here today.” He argued that bypassing formal extradition safeguards undermined Kanu’s legal rights and paved the way for his prolonged detention in Nigeria.

Ejimakor highlighted that international law and diplomatic protocols require clear procedures to protect individuals during extradition. According to him, ignoring these processes has complicated judicial proceedings and raised questions about executive overreach in politically sensitive cases.

The lawyer further urged President Bola Tinubu to use the powers of the Attorney General to address these irregularities, warning that failure to do so could deepen mistrust between the Southeast and the federal government.
