A Paris-based event promoter has publicly accused Nigerian Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel of failing to perform at a scheduled show in France, despite allegedly receiving a payment of €80,000 (approximately ₦135 million). The promoter’s emotional outburst, captured in a viral video, has sparked massive outrage across social media.
According to the promoter, Kizz Daniel made a string of extravagant demands before the event. “Kizz Daniel insisted on having seafood before heading to the venue and threatened to leave the hotel if his demand wasn’t met,” the promoter claimed. He also alleged that the “Buga” crooner refused to use the transportation provided for him, demanding instead to be driven in a Rolls-Royce or Range Rover.
The promoter further explained that after paying Kizz Daniel the initial performance fee, the singer allegedly requested an additional €5,000 for his flight ticket, which was promptly sent. However, the artist reportedly missed that flight and went on to demand another €2,000, which was also paid.
Despite all efforts and payments, the promoter said Kizz Daniel arrived late and ultimately did not perform at the Paris event. In his words,
“I am asking everyone to urge him to refund my money. He arrived late and didn’t perform after collecting €80,000. The refund must happen immediately.”
The controversy has ignited widespread debate online, with many Nigerians calling on Kizz Daniel to respond to the serious allegations. Some fans have defended the singer, while others have condemned the repeated reports of him disappointing event organizers.
