Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has criticized Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson for claiming that Regina Daniels married Senator Ned Nwoko at 17.
Mercy Johnson had earlier shared a post on Instagram stating that Regina Daniels was only a teenager when she tied the knot with Ned Nwoko.
Responding via Facebook, Ossai refuted the claim, insisting that Regina was 19 years old at the time of her marriage in 2019.
He urged Mercy Johnson to stop spreading false information, stressing that such claims only fuel unnecessary controversy.
He went on to express disappointment over the ongoing debate about Regina’s age and urged the public to refrain from promoting misleading stories that could harm the couple’s relationship.
He wrote, “Mercy Johnson should stop spreading lies. Regina was not 17 when Ned got married to her . Ned married Regina Daniels 2019!!!
“Regina Daniels date of birth is 10/10/2000 making her 19 years at the time.
“I am disappointed with this age narrative thing . Honestly I don’t like what is going on.
“No marriage is perfect , we all have our issues in our different marriages.
“Let’s stop pushing narrative that will destroy the love that is still between Reginal and Ned”
