According to our report, spiritual leader Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned that extremist groups are planning coordinated attacks on churches across Nigeria as the festive season approaches. Speaking at his Lagos-based INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Ayodele urged the Nigerian Army to intensify security measures and act proactively.
He stressed that jihadist threats between November and December could extend beyond the northern region if not checked early. “The Nigerian Army must intensify efforts. Don’t allow outside bodies to take credit for your work,” he warned, emphasizing the need for vigilance.
Ayodele also called on Christian leaders and worship centres to boost internal security while urging collaboration between the military and the public. He added that prayer, caution, and joint action could frustrate potential attacks.
