Abdulrazak Owolabi Adebajo, a survivor of both kidney and liver diseases, has shared how his family came together to save his life through organ donation.
In a recent podcast with Talk to B, Adebajo recounted being admitted to the hospital a week before his surgery, during which he received antibiotics and other medications while awaiting the procedure. He explained that both his mother and brother were also admitted to the hospital to donate vital organs—his brother giving part of his liver and his mother donating a kidney.
“I was admitted about a week before the surgery. They were giving me some medications, antibiotics. We were just hoping on God. Eventually the doctors told me in a day or two, the surgery would be carried out. My mom and brother too were admitted. My brother donated liver, my mum donated kidney,” Adebajo said.
The remarkable story highlights the power of family support and selflessness in overcoming serious health challenges. Extra photos and full coverage of Adebajo’s recovery journey are available on Newshost Buzz.
