PDP: Nigerians Know That I Don’t Play to the Gallery, the Gov of Plateau Will Leave Very Soon–Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has once again voiced concern over the growing crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), warning that more governors may soon abandon the party. During an interview on Channels Television, Fayose stated that the PDP has failed to manage its internal issues, leaving it weak and vulnerable.

According to him, the party’s troubles stem from poor leadership at the top, which has pushed many of its members, including sitting governors, to seek refuge elsewhere. Fayose reminded Nigerians that he had earlier predicted that three governors would leave the party — a development he says has already occurred, citing the governors of Bayelsa, Enugu, and Taraba States.

Describing himself as a loyal PDP member who always speaks the truth, Fayose emphasized that Nigerians know he does not make statements for attention or political showmanship. He added that his comments are based on facts and long-standing observation of the party’s internal workings.

Fayose went on to predict that the governor of Plateau State would be the next to exit the PDP, followed by another unnamed governor. “Nigerians know that I don’t play to the gallery. The governor of Plateau State will leave very soon. After him, another one will leave,” he said.
